Only asking this as I just read a poem about child abuse as a share request on FB and am a proper jibbering wreck now. Very upsetting.

My Nana sent out my 19 yr old Mum and her sister to find a couple of nice GI's to invite in for christmas dinner because "they're just kids and this'll be their first christmas away from home."
They did as they were told and my mum started going out with one of them. She insisted that there was none of "that' involved.
On or after DDay he want to France. and died almost exactly 71 years ago today.
I found the love letter when I was going through her paper work during her final illness.
She met my dad about 10 years later

These are all in my classroom when teaching. Its a bit embarrassing, apart from the last one.

Very rarely, can go years without a tear over anything, barring deaths, but the last time it did happen, was random and totally inappropriate.
went to the cinema with my mrs to watch the Lone Ranger, which by anyone's estimation, is hardly a tear jerker.
the music at the end suddenly got me all nostalgic, Saturday morning cinema, when me and my sister were kids.
all of a sudden, there's a couple tears, which then sets my mrs off in tears of laughter. People in nearby seats were probably wondering what the fuck was going on.

Thanks again chaps.
Just been to vets and annoyingly they still don't have the full results back even though the biopsy was 10 days ago so still not sure which form of cancer she has out of 2 possibilities, so none the wiser about treatment and consequencies.
Obviously not looking good but one form is worse than the other in terms of survival rate and treatment.

Brentford I don't really think there's much that you can do regrettably. A very aged cat, and a bad form of cancer. I'm sure you're mindful of not letting her suffer, gutting as that decision is. Very sorry for you.

Last time I cried was over an aspect of that recent Charleston church massacre. Specifically, the report mentioned that the bowl haircut freak told police he almost backed out because the congregation were so kind and welcoming towards him. I actually wish there was such a thing as hell.
I tend to get a bit weepy and pathetic when I'm premenstrual.
But generally I am GRANITE.

Thanks mate. Yes been lucky with her but absolutely gutting even though she currently seems happy and alert and is still eating and purring. Lost a lot of weight and now is basically shitting blood 5 or 6 times a day and being sick a few times a day too.
Waiting at vets now, will see what the options are but spent thousands last 10 months or so on her and run out of cash as we've a wedding to sort and just bought a house. The missus has offered to pay for cancer treatment but the vet didn't seem very hopeful last week so we'll see............

I bought some cardamon seeds from Amazon India last week. They arrived within a couple of days with a bold notice warning against eating them. They were for cultivation only.

Coping mechanism? Don't know really - as you say, sure she meant well. Maybe she just wanted to put something down on a piece of paper. Not sure I would have taken it with me to the funeral mind.
